Gnosys is a multidisciplinary science and technology company who offer a way for our clients to accelerate their innovation ambitions. We use a variety of problem solving techniques including routine laboratory analysis, advanced experimental and desk-based research and analysis.
|1994||The Polymer Research Centre (PRC) was founded at the University of Surrey by Gary Stevens, its new Director.|
|1999||The University of Surrey Environmental Body was founded by Gary Stevens, who was appointed as its Director. Gary was also appointed as a Research Professor and the annual income of the PRC exceeded £1M.|
|2002||The PRC moved to a larger, purpose-built laboratory. It won several joint development contracts and large EPSRC and EC grants.|
|2006||The PRC was spun out from the University of Surrey and incorporated as Gnosys, a stand-alone R&D company. Close associations with the University were maintained.|
|2010||Gnosys moved to a new head office and laboratory on the Surrey Research Park, to accommodate its continued growth.|
|2014||Gnosys established a second advanced materials laboratory for synthetic chemistry, polymer and nano-material processing and materials analysis.|
|2016||Gnosys developed new self-healing, dielectric fluids and solids for application in power cables and the energy sector.|
|2018||Gnosys began licensing self-healing technologies. International activities were expanded and the Chinese electrical insulation market were engaged.|
We have worked for and continue to work with some of the most respected companies and governmental organisations from many industries and countries. Typically, we are retained by clients to answer challenging technical and innovation questions. Often this is related to a pressing technical problem or a new innovative material or product.
